Bengals Injury Report: A.J. Green, Vontaze Burfict

By on 9/20/2014 12:00:00 PM

After suffering a toe injury in the Cincinnati Bengals win over the Atlanta Falcons last weekend, wide receiver A.J. Green has practiced two days this week and is listed as probable for Sunday's contest against the Tennessee Titans.

Coley Harvey of reports Coach Marvin Lewis expects him to play and Green also expects he will be on the field come Sunday. That is great news for the Bengals as Green is far and beyond their best threat in the passing game. It's also great news for fantasy owners who likely were readying to use other options based on reports earlier in the week.

Coley Harvey also said of Vontaze Burfict, that the prognosis isn't as clear on the linebacker, who suffered a second concussion in as many weeks last Sunday against the Falcons. Burfict is listed as doubtful after not practicing all week. Two concussions in two weeks is a big cause for concern now a days.

Burfict is one of several players unlikely to suit up Sunday. The list includes RB Rex Burkhead (knee), LB Sean Porter (hamstring), DT Brandon Thompson (knee) and OT Kevin Zeitler (calf) who are all listed as doubtful.
