Brewers Injury Update: Khris Davis still out

By on 9/12/2014 06:15:00 PM

As the Milwaukee Brewers look to continue to gain ground in the National League wild card and NL Central race, they will have to do so again without their slugging left fielder Khris Davis.
As our own Kerry Kauffman reported earlier, Davis is out with a sore right forearm injury.  He was expected to play tonight, but is still not ready to go.

Davis leads the team with 22 home runs.  Through his two seasons he has become one of the Brewers' biggest power threats.  At the age of 26, and playing in his first full-season, he has solidified himself as a part of the team's future.

Gerardo Parra will again get the start in his absence.  Defensively Parra is a major upgrade, but he does not have the same type of power or bat that Davis possesses.

While they should remain cautious with Davis, they need him to get back quickly if they expect to stay in the race.
