Browns Injury Update: Jordan Cameron could miss week 2

By on 9/10/2014 01:23:00 PM

As reported earlier this week, Browns tight end Jordan Cameron aggravated his shoulder in week one. He had previously injured the AC joint in training camp early in August.

According to Marc Sessler from

Browns coach Mike Pettine told reporters Monday that he had no update on the status of Cameron, who aggravated his shoulder on a 47-yard grab during Sunday's 30-27 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Pro Bowl pass-catcher originally suffered a sprained AC joint during an August team scrimmage.

The team on Tuesday worked out veteran Kellen Davis, according to Rand Getlin of Yahoo! Sports. The fact that they are working out a second tight end seems to suggest they are concerned with his injury. The same injury twice in a month must have set off a red flag of sorts.

The Browns are already without the 2013 NFL leading receiver, Josh Gordon, who is suspended for the season. There is a chance the suspension gets overturned, or reduced, but that is to be seen. If Cameron were to miss some time, and Gordon remains suspended, the Browns will need big help in the receiving department.
