Canadiens Injury Update: Lars Eller skates, Michael McCarron out

By on 9/25/2014 08:00:00 AM

It is starting off rough for the Montreal Canadiens. The team has several players on the injured list. Two of those players are Lars Eller and Michael McCarron.

Eller has been sidelined since Saturday after taking a hit in a scrimmage from defenseman Alexei Emelin. On Sunday the team reported he was taking a therapy day and the following day he was placed on the injured list. Eller missed the scrimmage game Monday night and the first preseason game.

However, the injury does not seem to be too severe. Eller took the ice on Wednesday morning with Connor Crisp (Had shoulder surgery in the summer) after his teammates skated. No word yet on when he will return but he will likely have a couple of games in the preseason.

Another addition to the injured list is Michael McCarron. He suffered an injury in the first preseason game against the Boston Bruins. He fell over the net and was helped off the ice. He did not return to the game.

Nobody is certain the injury he suffered except it is an upper-body injury. There is no further information on McCarrons injury.
