Canadiens Injury Update: P-A Parenteau might miss the start of the season

The Montreal Canadiens may have to look for a new forward for the time being. It is being said that the new addition to the team Pierre-Alexandr Parenteau has suffered an injury in training.

There are not many details about the injury or the severity, except that it is a rib injury. Parenteau is under evaluation and more details could come in upcoming days.

Brandon Prust suffered a rib injury last season and it cost him 12 games.

Training camp starts up in two weeks, Parenteau could miss the start of the camp and maybe even the preseason or more depending on the severity of the injury.

He joined the Montreal Canadiens (along with a 5th round pick in 2015) this summer during a trade with the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for Daniel Briere.

Last season he played 55 games with the Colorado Avalanche, he had 14 goals and 19 assists.
