Cardinals Injury Update: Andre Ellington, John Abraham, Frostee Rucker

By on 9/10/2014 03:55:00 PM

The Arizona Cardinals may be having one of those years. One of those years where there are so many injuries that they become insurmountable.

Andre Ellington is trying to make progress through his foot injury; John Abraham is taking some time to himself after he received another concussion; Frostee Rucker is considered to be doubtful for Sunday's game against the Giants.

According to Darren Urban, Andre Ellington is in a walking boot, and is trying to get his foot "calmed down." It looks like his foot issue might be a reoccurring theme this season. One would think if there was a week to sit him out, it would be this week.

The John Abraham injury news is just sad. It looks like it is going to be the end of his career. He suffered a concussion Monday night. He left the team today, possibly for good. It should be noted that Abraham has been suffering memory loss for about the last year, according to Adam Schefter.

Then to make things worse, Frostee Rucker is doubtful with a calf injury. That will add another blow to the Cardinals defense, specifically their defensive line.

Bruce Arians will have to refocus his team coming off what was already a short week. The game against the Giants won't be a gimme if the Cardinals lose their focus after a short week and all these injuries.
