Cardinals Injury Update: Andre Ellington 'good to go'

By on 9/13/2014 03:00:00 PM

Arizona Cardinals running back, Andre Ellington, was a game-time decision in week one. He ended up playing, and played very well at that. In addition to leading the game in rushing yards with 53, he was extremely effective in the passing game, reeling in five balls for 27 hard earned yards.

He has had a lingering leg injury, and started week two poorly, missing practices on Wednesday and Thursday. However, he was back in a limited capacity Friday, and according to the Cardinals official website, Ellington is "good to go" for Sunday.

The 25-year-old out of Clemson has been an integral part of the Cardinals offense since last season. He averaged an outstanding 5.5 yards per carry, gaining 652 yards and scoring three touchdowns as a rookie. He should remain productive in week two, even with the injury, against a porous New York Giants defense.
