Cardinals Injury Update: John Abraham suffering from memory loss

By on 9/12/2014 12:00:00 AM

The Arizona Cardinals John Abraham may have hit a roadblock in what has been quite the career for the 36-year-old defensive end. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the news via Twitter yesterday.
Realistically, Abraham has had a long and successful career in the NFL, but no player wants to go out like this. We’re talking about a guy that built his career off getting it done on the defensive end. Throughout his entire career, Abraham sacked a total of 133.5 quarterbacks, ranking him among the top ten in league history. Not impressed? Take a closer look at that list; almost every player in that top ten has been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. I may be reaching here, but I would bet that Abraham finds himself in the Hall one day.

Now as for his replacement, Rand Getlin of Yahoo Sports reported this via Twitter a few hours after the Abraham injury was revealed.
As it appears, Benard is likely going to get the nod in the team’s next game on Sunday, when the Cardinals take on Eli Manning and the New York Giants.
