Chargers Injury Update: Jeromey Clary could miss the entire season

By on 9/02/2014 06:00:00 PM

Chargers tackle Jeromey Clary played through a myriad of injuries last season, but a recent hip surgery has cast some serious doubt over Clary's ability to play this upcoming season. An injury of this magnitude couldn't have come at a worse time for Clary, as he is entering the final year of his contract.
The Chargers have already started preparing for the worst. Johnnie Troutman, a second year pro out of Penn State, is set to take reps as Clary's replacement along the offensive line. He'll be taking reps with the starting o-line. The Chargers also recently drafted offensive lineman Chris Watt out of Notre Dame. The rookie could see some playing time this season.

If Clary's rehabilitation keeps him out this upcoming season, his experience and skill along the line will be missed. His leadership and locker room presence may be missed even more.
