Chiefs Injury Update: Jamaal Charles to have MRI on sprained ankle

By on 9/15/2014 11:30:00 AM

In what could be a serious blow to the Kansas City Chiefs, star running back Jamaal Charles is to set to have an MRI on his sprained ankle after X-Rays came back negative.

The fact that the X-Rays were negative is a good sign, indicating it is likely a sprain as was reported. However, depending on the severity of the sprain, or if it is the dreaded high ankle sprain, the recovery period will vary greatly. High ankle sprains take much longer to heal than other sprains, so lets hope that's not the case.

Running back Knile Davis is the presumed starter if Charles is to miss any time.
