Colts Injury Report: Jerrell Freeman, Arthur Jones, Josh Chapman

By on 9/15/2014 01:00:00 PM

The Indianapolis Colts will face a second consecutive high-powered offense on Monday night against the Philadelphia Eagles and could be without some key defensive players:

After losing Robert Mathis for the season earlier in the week, Indianapolis’ final injury report doesn’t bring much better news. The Colts will be without starting linebacker Jerrell Freeman, who is out with a hamstring injury.

Josh McNary will make his first career start in place of Freeman, which could make things difficult against Nick Foles and company.

The defensive line could be shorthanded as well. Starting defensive tackle Arthur Jones (shoulder) and starting nose tackle Josh Chapman (ankle)  are both listed as questionable.

Backup safety Sergio Brown (shoulder) and starting cornerback Greg Toler (ribs) round out the injury report on defense. Both are probable and should play at full capacity.

The Colts will also have some injuries to deal with on the offensive line. Starting center Khlead Holmes did not play in Week 1 and is listed as questionable with an ankle injury, although he participated in limited practice over the last three days.

A.Q. Shipley would likely start in place of Holmes again if the latter cannot play. Backup linemen Joe Reitz will also be out with an ankle injury.

Running back Ahmad Bradshaw and wide receiver Reggie Wayne were both limited in practice earlier in the week for rest reasons, not injuries.
