Diamondbacks Injury Update: Jake Lamb sits with quad issue

The Arizona Diamondbacks have struggled to a 62-88 record this season, fourth in the National League West. They are coming off a 6-2 win over the San Francisco Giants on Monday. Mark Trumbo went 2-for-5 with a grand slam home run and five RBI to lead the Diamondbacks, who were again without Jake Lamb due to a quad injury

Nick Piecoro, who covers the Diamondbacks for, tweeted the following update on Lamb.
Lamb has been playing well recently prior to the injury, going 7-for-19 with a double, triple and home run in his last five starts.

Lamb, a 23-year old rookie third baseman from Washington, is batting .227 with three doubles, a triple, three home runs and 10 RBI in 88 at bats this season. In 244 career Minor League games, Lamb has a batting average of .327 with 37 home runs and 193 RBI.
