Eagles Injury Report: Matt Tobin, Josh Huff, Chris Polk

By on 9/15/2014 12:00:00 PM

The Philadelphia Eagles head in to an exciting Monday night showdown against the Indianapolis Colts with relatively few names on their final injury report:

Philadelphia lost star left guard Evan Mathis until at least Week 10 with a knee injury in the season opener, but no other starters appear on the team’s injury report for Monday night. Right tackle Lane Johnson is suspended for three more games, but the Eagles will only have two players out due to injury, not counting those already on IR.

Backup offensive lineman Matt Tobin will again be out with an ankle injury. With the aforementioned losses and backup lineman Allen Barbre also out with a broken leg, depth at offensive line will be a major concern for the Eagles moving forward.

Wide receiver Josh Huff will also be shelved again with a shoulder problem. Jeremy Maclin and Riley Cooper remain the clear top two targets for Nick Foles, but rookie Jordan Matthews should also see plenty of action.

Depth at receiver has been a bit of concern, but Brad Smith has been upgraded to probable after playing threw a groin injury last week. Third-string running back Chris Polk, who missed the entire preseason and Week 1 with a hamstring injury, is also listed as probable.

The Eagles should also get cornerback Jaylen Watkins back from a hamstring injury, as he is listed as probable. While Watkins is officially on the third string, any secondary help will be beneficial against a strong Colts offense.
