Falcons Injury Update: Roddy White 'ready to go'

By on 9/26/2014 12:15:00 PM

The Atlanta Falcons were without Roddy White last week vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but it appears that he'll be healthy enough this week. He's been hampered by a hamstring injury and the Falcons have been cautious with it.

When Roddy White met with the media yesterday he told them that he was 'ready to go.' And then to top it off, coach Mike Smith confirmed that White would play on Sunday against the Vikings.

To see that White is already coming back is a great sign for the Falcons. It means that the injury wasn't significant and didn't linger too much, so hopefully his hamstring injury will only be a one time problem this season-the Falcons will need it to be.

White's return couldn't come at a better time, because the Falcons are going up against a defense that has played well so far this year. They're also playing on the road, and it's well documented that they have had issues on the road-1-7 on the road last year.

The duo of Roddy White and Julio Jones will be a big factor in the team overcoming their road woes. Matt Ryan is one of the best in the league when he has those two on the field, and they should have no problem taking care of the Vikings if White and Jones are out there, as they should be.

Expect White to have his snap count watched just a little bit, especially if the game gets out of hand. That may play into whether or not you want to start him on your fantasy team this weekend.
