Flyers Injury Update: Ryan White has succesful surgery

By on 9/02/2014 11:04:00 AM

The Philadelphia Flyers have released a statement that forward Ryan White underwent successful surgery at the end of last week.

White had the surgery to repair his left pectoral muscle. He suffered the injury a week prior to the surgery in off ice training in his hometown Brandon Manitoba.

General Manager Ron Hextall announced there is no time frame for White's return.

This injury is not new to the 26 year old forward. Last season, in January, while playing with the Montreal Canadiens he tore his right pectoral. It did not require surgery but he missed 14 games because of it.

Last season with the Habs, White played 52 games, had two goals and four assists. He signed a one year, two way contract with the Flyers in the summer after he did not receive a qualifying offer from the Habs.
