Flyers Injury Update: Ryan White to miss five months

By on 9/26/2014 08:45:00 PM

It has been almost a month since Flyers forward Ryan White underwent surgery to repair his left pectoral muscle. It has been announced earlier today that the 26 year old will be out for approximately five months.

White suffered the injury during an off-season training incident. He underwent surgery a week later and it was said he would miss time but nobody was sure on how much time he would miss.

Flyers General Manager Ron Hextall announced earlier that he would miss 5 months. Depending on how the recovery goes White could be back on the ice anywhere near the end of December-February.
This is not the first time White suffered this injury. Last season with the Montreal Canadiens he missed 14 games after tearing his right pectoral. No surgery was required then.

Last season with the Montreal Canadiens White played 52 games, he had 2 goals and 4 assists.
