Flyers Injury Update: Ryan White will miss training camp

By on 9/11/2014 08:00:00 PM

Training camp is just days away and some players will not be able to attend camp due to injuries from last season or this summer. One player who will miss training camp is a newbie for the Philadelphia Flyers.

Ryan White joined the Flyers last month after becoming an unrestricted free agent. A couple of days later, the team announced he had successful surgery to repair his left pectoral muscle. He suffered the injury in an off-ice training in Brandon, Manitoba.

White signed a one year-two way contract with the team. He will be battling for a spot on the NHL roster when healthy. Until then, the team announced he will miss training camp recovering from the injury.

Last season with the Montreal Canadiens, White suffered a similar injury that did not require surgery. However, it caused him to miss 14 games. He played 52 games (a career NHL high) and had two goals and four assists.
