Hawks Injury Update: Kent Bazemore will be limited in training camp

By on 9/27/2014 08:00:00 PM

Atlanta Hawks guard Kent Bazemore will be limited in training camp as he continues to recover from right foot surgery. Bazemore, who the Hawks signed to a two year, four million dollar deal this offseason, suffered the injury in a game against the Los Angeles Clippers last season while playing for the Los Angeles Lakers. The Hawks will bring him "slowly through camp" and expect him to be ready for the regular season opener in Toronto.

Bazemore, who started the season with the Golden State Warriors, initially didn't have much of an impact. After he was later traded to the Lakers, Bazemore broke out into a productive role player. In 23 games with the Lakers, Bazemore averaged 13.1 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists in about 28 minutes per game. He is expected to contribute off the bench for the Hawks, backing up DeMarre Carroll and Kyle Korver.
