Miami Heat forward Josh McRoberts is going easy in training camp as he continues to recover from offseason toe surgery. McRoberts is expected to be healthy by the beginning of the season and the toe isn't expected to be an issue. Regardless, McRoberts and the Heat will be cautious during training camp in hopes of preventing further injury.

McRoberts revealed to the media that he had offseason toe surgery to the media on Sunday. He had the surgery after Charlotte, his former team, got eliminated from the playoffs.
The Heat signed McRoberts to a four-year deal worth an estimated $23 million this offseason. The 27-year-old is coming off the best season of his career with Charlotte, where he started 78 games and  averaged 8.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists, in about 30 minutes per game. Miami signed him before they knew Lebron James would leave for Cleveland, but McRoberts is still expected to play a major role this upcoming season.
