Jets Injury Update: Dee Milliner likely to play

By on 9/14/2014 01:00:00 AM

It appears that the New York Jets will have cornerback Dee Milliner in the lineup for the team’s upcoming game this Sunday. ESPN reporter Rich Cimini commented about the news via Twitter Thursday afternoon.

Although Milliner’s career started off rough, it wasn’t until the end of the season that everything started to click. In the month of December, Milliner earned the Defensive Rookie of the Month honors, showing the Jets that he was worthy of their ninth overall selection in 2013.

Not only does Rex Ryan feel he will have Milliner back for the next game, the coach recently expressed his thoughts about the young man, reports Tim Bontemps of New York Post
I expect great things from him, there’s no question about that,” Ryan said. “The young man has got a ton of ability, and I expect him to play very well.
That’s some high praise to get from your coach, which has to be a good feeling. That being said, without being deliberate Rex was also letting Dee know what he expects out of him this season. He wants to see the same player who won those defensive honors at the end of last season.

The NYJ are scheduled to take on Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers this Sunday at 4:25 PM EST.
