Kings Injury Update: Jarret Stoll hopes to participate in preseason games

By on 9/25/2014 09:30:00 AM

Jarret Stoll will be out of the lineup on Thursday night when the team takes on the Anaheim Ducks. While he is still recovering from an injury, he will be sitting out with Jonathan Quick and Drew Doughty as a precaution. The three players are hoping to see ice time in the final two to three games of the preseason.

Stoll is suffering from a chip/labrum tear in his hip. He underwent surgery on his 32nd birthday (June 24th). He has been rehabbing the hip injury since and has also been skating. However, he has not yet been cleared to play.

Stoll hopes he can get in at least one preseason game to see how his hip will react to the ice intensity. He knows it is still a very slim chance that he will return in the preseason as the team is taking precaution so he doesn't suffer a setback.

Last season, Stoll played 78 games, had eight goals and 19 assists.
