Knicks Injury Update: Andrea Bargnani says his elbow is '100 percent fine'

New York Knicks center Andrea Bargnani, whose season was cut to just 42 games after partially tearing the ulnar nerve in his left elbow in January, is now fully healed.

In anticipation of the 2014-15 season, the team hosted their annual Media Day to speak on their expectations for the upcoming season.

As reported by Marc Berman of the New York Post, when asked about the injury, Bargnani told reporters "the elbow is fine."

"It was a tricky injury," he said. "It was my priority this summer to get healthy."

Bargnani was lackluster last season, struggling to find his way on defense and shooting just 27.8% from the 3-point range; but he hopes to do better this year in light of the team's new president Phil Jackson and the new triangle offense.

"Everyone wants to show they are better than last year," he said. "The triangle offense is very effective and I can't wait to start learning everything about it."

Many reporters also noted Bargnani looked like he was in much better shape than last season.
