Marlins Injury Update: Marcell Ozuna exits with sprained ankle

Marlins centerfielder Marcell Ozuna was helped off the field in the seventh inning of Sunday's game against the Washington Nationals, reports Andre Fernandez of the Miami Herald (video here and below). Ozuna was attempting to stretch a single into a double when he jammed his ankle into the bag. He was replaced by Garrett Jones.
UPDATE: 9/21/2014 3:45 p.m. The team announced that Ozuna has a right ankle sprain. X-rays were negative.

Ozuna, 22, is in his second major-league season, hitting .268/.315/.453 (OPS+ 109) with 23 homers and 85 RBI in 152 games. He was signed by the Marlins in 2008 out of the Dominican Republic and made his major league debut April 30, 2013. Ozuna is pre-arb and under team control through 2019.
