Mets Injury Update: Matt den Dekker is improving

By on 9/14/2014 01:00:00 PM

A second set of X-rays taken of outfielder Matt den Dekker's  left hand were negative, he's feeling much better, and could be in the Mets lineup as soon as Monday, reports Danny Knobler of ESPN

Manager Terry Collins had scheduled another doctor's examination on Saturday because den Dekker couldn't grip a bat and had trouble throwing since he was hit by a pitch on Tuesday (Sept 9), and had made only one appearance, coming into Friday's game against the Nationals as a pinch runner.
