Packers Week 1 Injury Report: Brandon Bostick, Demetri Goodson, Brad Jones, J.C. Tretter

By on 9/04/2014 12:30:00 PM

The Green Bay Packers kick off the 2014 NFL season against the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks tonight. Green Bay won the NFC North division title in 2013 despite posting an 8-8 record in the regular season.

The Packers' mediocre regular season was due largely in part to losing two of their most important players, quarterback Aaron Rodgers and wide receiver Randall Cobb for extended periods of time. We know Rodgers and Cobb are now healthy, but let's find out who isn't in our first injury report of the season.

Tight end Brandon Bostick suffered a slight fracture in his fibula over the summer. Bostick did not practice all week and will not play in the opener tonight. Rookie cornerback Demetri Goodson was held out of practice this week with a concussion and has been ruled out for tonight's game. Also out for the Packers is center/guard J.C. Tretter who could land on short-term injured reserve with a knee injury.

Linebacker Brad Jones was limited in Monday's practice but fully participated on Wednesday. Jones is listed as probable for tonight's game.
