Raiders Injury Report: Matt Schaub, Sebastian Janikowski, LaMarr Woodley

By on 9/07/2014 11:55:00 AM

The Oakland Raiders look to get off to a strong start this season, and they'll have to do so against the vaunted New York Jets defensive line. The Raiders appear to be pretty healthy to start the season, so they have a good shot going into the game.

They have a few injuries, though. Matt Schaub has been declared the backup quarterback, but he could be called upon at any moment. He's listed as having a right elbow injury and is probable.

Sebastian Janikowski made an appearance on the injury, as well. He's been dealing with a right quadriceps injury, but he's probable. You may want to think otherwise about starting him on your fantasy team, though.

The Raiders' newest defensive addition, LaMarr Woodley is probable for today's game with what appears to be something personal (non-injury related). Hopefully all is well with what he is dealing with prior to today's game.

Linebacker Nick Roach is out for the game (concussion). The Raiders would have been glad to see him on the field given their lack of linebacker depth.

Both the Jets and Raiders are healthy going into week one. Expect a defensive battle and for it to be close in the end.
