He had a small bandage covering a surgery site just below his index finger and his entire hand was visibly swollen. Jones-Drew said his hand wasn't broken, but multiple sources have told CSN Bay Area that he did in fact break it against the New York Jets.
Although Jones-Drew is not expected to miss much time, it makes Darren McFadden the presumed starter and will allow Latavius Murray to get additional touches. As a whole, the Raiders rushing attack left much to be desired against a quality New York Jets defensive front.
The final word on Jones-Drew should be confirmed when the Raiders final injury report is released prior to their week two match up. It doesn't sound like the right handed running back will be available.
