Rams Injury Update: Shaun Hill game-time decision

By on 9/14/2014 12:15:00 AM

Shaun Hill started his first NFL regular season game since 2010 last Sunday, taking over under center for the St. Louis Rams in place of an injured Sam Bradford (knee). But Hill was unable to play in the second half of last Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings due to a strained quad, and after being at best limited in practice all week he will be a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Hill traveled with the team to Tampa Bay, but as of now it looks likely that Austin Davis will make his first NFL start. Davis saw the first regular season action of his career last week against the Vikings, and he completed 16 of 23 passes for 192 yards with an interception in Hill's place.

Case Keenum, who was claimed off waivers from the Houston Texans on September 1, may see action against Tampa Bay if Hill is unable to suit up and Davis struggles. He started eight games for the Texans in 2013, and had 1,760 passing yards with nine touchdowns and six interceptions.

No matter who starts under center on Sunday for the Rams, or ultimately sees action, we are unlikely to see the re-emergence of "The Greatest Show on Turf" anytime soon.
