Red Wings Injury Update: Jimmy Howard working hard to bounceback this season

By on 9/12/2014 08:30:00 AM

Detroit Red Wings goalie Jimmy Howard is working hard to have a better season then he has the past few years.

Howard says he wants to go out this season and play 100% and give it his all. The 30 year old knows that anything could happen during the season. He has suffered a few injuries over the past few seasons.

“Each year is different,” he said. “You just gotta go out there and play, control what you can control. I think I’ve done that in the off-season and that’s why I’m so excited to start this season off. I’m hoping the guys did the same thing — they took this summer to get healthy — so we can all take the next step in the right direction.”

Howard has suffered many types of injuries. They include a back injury in 2011 where he missed two games, a finger injury in 2012 where he missed 8 games. He has also injured his hip, groin and knee.
