Redskins Injury Update: Jordan Reed leaves game with hamstring injury

By on 9/07/2014 02:28:00 PM

Washington Redskins tight end Jordan Reed injured his hamstring and is questionable to return, Christopher Harris of ESPN reports.

Reed suffered the injury to his hamstring hurdling a defender in the the first quarter of the team's game against the Houston Texans.

The 24-year-old had been dealing with a thumb injury prior to the game that made him questionable to even participate in it to begin with, but was able to play in the game. Prior to the injury, Reed had managed a catch for four yards in the game.

Last season, Reed battled a concussion that limited him to just nine games. He was effective in those nine games, hauling in 45 passes for 499 yards and three touchdowns. His best game came against the Bears in October, when he hauled in nine passes for 134 yards and a touchdown.

This post will be updated if any more news breaks.
