Rockies Injury Update: Nolan Arenado's season could be over

By on 9/19/2014 08:00:00 AM

It is not often that players are sidelined due to pneumonia, but Rockies Gold Glove third baseman Nolan Arenado is on the road to recovery after the illness and his season may be over according to Patrick Saunders.
While the Rockies have a powerful lineup full of players who can consistently get on base, they have been ravaged by injuries all season.

In his second full season, Arenado has put up solid numbers by batting .287 with 18 home runs and 61 RBIs.

Although he is vastly underrated, Arenado is slowly becoming one of the best third baseman in the National League.  He won a Gold Glove during his rookie season, and has provided stellar defense each night since his promotion.

At the plate the 23-year-old has showed power potential and the ability to get on base.  Hitting in the most hitter friendly ball park of all parks, Arenado's numbers should continue to rise as he matures.

The Rockies' future looks bright and a healthy Arenado could be a huge boost to 2015.
