By on 9/24/2014 06:30:00 PM

The Buffalo Sabres announced that Mark Pysyk suffered an upper body injury on Tuesday Night. Pysyk was in the lineup against the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday night but left in the first period and did not return to the game.

Pysyk only played 54 seconds before leaving the bench...but not many people realized he was missing.

There have been no details on what the actual injury is, except it is an upper-body injury.
The severity is also unclear and he will be further evaluated by the team doctors.

Last season Pysyk split his time with the NHL and the AHL. In the NHL he played 44 games with the Buffalo Sabres, had one goal and six assists.

In the AHL he played 31 games for the Rochester Americans, he only had one goal and 11 assists.
