Texans Injury Update: Garrett Graham returns to practice

By on 9/14/2014 04:51:00 AM

After missing week one with a back injury, Houston Texans starting tight end Garrett Graham returned to practice this past Wednesday.

The news was reported by the Houston Texans via their official twitter account.
After sustaining a back injury during the preseason, Graham looks to be back to good and ready to play this week against the Oakland Raiders.

According to FanSided’s Mike Dyce, “I felt good running around,” Graham said after practicing for a second consecutive day on Thursday. “I’m just trying to progress every day. We’ll see where I’m at by the end of the week.” He has now been declared active for Sunday’s game against the Oakland Raiders. “Garrett will be in the game on Sunday,” Texans head coach Bill O’Brien said, via the team’s website."

Against the Redskins, Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Texans offense were able to amass 14 points and 206 yards through the air with the majority of catches going to WRs Andre Johnson (93 yards on six catches) and DeAndre Hopkins (89 yards on four catches). Last season Graham caught 49 passes for 545 yards and five touchdowns, including eight catches of over 20 yards.

With Graham active against the Raiders, Fitzpatrick gets yet another target to throw to if Johnson and Hopkins are covered down the field.
