Twins Injury Update: Tommy Milone start scratched

By on 9/04/2014 09:15:00 PM

The Minnesota Twins have scratched Tommy Milone from his next start this weekend due to shoulder fatigue, and it appears that the fatigue is nothing new.
Once a 13 game winner with the Oakland A's, Milone has struggled since coming over to the Twins.  He is 0-1 with a 7.84 ERA allowing 18 runs in 20.2 innings of work.  This rough performance has raised his season ERA almost a full point, to a robust 4.31 in 117 innings of work.

In his career, he has gone 32-23 with an ERA just over four.  He was once viewed as an up-and-coming young arm while a prospect with both the Washington Nationals and the Oakland A's. When the A's dealt starter Gio Gonzalez, Milone was the key arm they received in return.

At just 27-years-old and playing for his third team, Milone looks to be the perfect complement to the Twins future staff.
