By on 9/16/2014 10:45:00 AM

The Minnesota Twins fell to the Detroit Tigers on Monday by the score of 8-6. The loss dropped the Twins to 63-87 on the season, last in the American League Central. Although 6th in the Major Leagues in runs scored, the Twins have been derailed by a staff that is 28th in ERA at 4.82. There's some good news on the injury front, as an MRI on Tommy Milone revealed no structural damage and he could return again this season.

I reported on September 13 that Milone, who had a start scratched the first weekend of the month and had his latest start pushed back, has been dealing with shoulder inflammation.

Andy Greder, who covers the Twins for, tweeted the following update on Milone.
Milone, in his third Major League season, is 6-4 with a 4.23 ERA in 21 games with the A's and Twins. He's struggled in five starts with the Twins, posting an ERA of 7.40. In 85 career games, Milone has a record of 32-23 with a 3.99 ERA.
