Vikings Injury Report: Chad Greenway, Linval Joseph, Josh Robinson

By on 9/27/2014 11:45:00 PM

The Minnesota Vikings emerged from a Week 3 loss to the New Orleans Saints very banged up, with injuries to multiple key players. Quarterback Matt Cassel (left foot) is out for the season and tight end Kyle Rudolph (groin) will be out for an extended time, but multiple others had their status up in the air throughout the week of practice ahead of Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Linebacker Chad Greenway played with a broken left hand for most of the last two games, and a previously unknown broken rib was added to his ailments after last Sunday. He has been ruled out of Sunday's game, ending his consecutive start streak at 90 games and his consecutive games played streak at 115. That was the longest active starting streak in the league for a linebacker.

Defensive tackle Linval Joseph is apparently dealing with a right shoulder issue, which is the same shoulder he had offseason surgery on. He was a full participant in Friday's practice though, and he's been officially listed as probable for the game against Atlanta.

Cornerback Josh Robinson had to leave last Sunday's game with a right hamstring injury, which limited his activity in practice all week. He is listed as questionable, and Marcus Sherels would be in line for a prominent role if Robinson is unable to play.
