The Golden State Warriors will have to wait a bit for off-season acquisition Shaun Livingston to debut. After an offseason toe surgery, Livingston is still in a walking boot and is not yet ready to take the court. He is expected to miss a "couple of weeks" of the regular season, according to head coach Steve Kerr.

While Livingston has said he is "ahead of schedule" in his recovery, he has had a lengthy time away from the game. "He's doing much better. The toe is healed, but he needs a few weeks on the court... I anticipate he'll miss a couple weeks of the regular season," Kerr said in an interview.
After signing a three-year, $16 million deal with the Warriors in July, Livingston is expected to play a big role off the bench for the Warriors. Livingston rejuvenated his career last season with the Brooklyn Nets after a devastating knee injury back in 2007. He averaged 8.3 points, 3.2 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game last season, playing 76 games and starting 54 of them.
