Wild Injury Update: Josh Harding suffers ankle injury, will miss start of training camp

Minnesota Wild goaltender Josh Harding was hoping to have a fresh start to the season. He will have to wait a little longer before that happens as he recently suffered an ankle injury.

Harding had a good start to last season until he was sidelined while changing medications for an illness. Harding was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis last summer and it was starting to effect his daily life so the team put him on long term injured reserved allowing him to adjust to his medication.

He spent the off season working out and trying to get back into shape. He was having a good off ice workout this summer and was also looking good on the ice. He even talked about how he was looking forward to restart skating, but that will have to wait.

The last few days, Harding was seen on crutches and limping into training rooms. It has been reported that he injured his ankle but the injury did not happen on the ice. Although it is unsure how long Harding will be out, TSN analyst Bob McKenzie tweets that it is likely months.
Harding's comeback will have to wait. Minnesota will once again have to struggle to find a starting goalie until Harding is able to make his comeback.
