Yankees Injury Update: Top pick Eric Jagielo taken to hospital after HBP

The New York Yankees lost to the Boston Red Sox on Saturday by the score of 10-4. With one game left in the season, the Yankees sit at 83-78, second in the American League East. The Yankees will finish with their worst record since they won 79 games in 1995. On the injury front, top pick Eric Jagielo was taken to the hospital after being hit by a pitch at the Instructional League.

Sherman also updated Jagielo's status with this initial report.
Jagielo, in his second Minor League season, hit .259 with 16 home runs and 54 RBI in 85 games for Tampa of the Florida State League. In 146 career professional games, Jagielo has a batting average of .261 with 24 home runs and 85 RBI.
