49ers Injury Report: Tramaine Brock, Anthony Davis, Vernon Davis

By on 10/04/2014 04:45:00 PM

The San Francisco 49ers have not met expectations so far this season, as the team has struggled to a 2-2 record due in large part to a passing offense that currently ranks 22nd in the NFL at just 212.3 yards per game. It may not get any better this week, as the team could be without one of their top pass-catchers again.
Tight end Vernon Davis is one of six players listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Chiefs. Davis has battled injuries this season, suffering an ankle injury that forced him to miss a game. He then proceeded to hurt his back and was forced to miss the remainder of last week's game.

Fellow tight end Vance McDonald, who is battling a knee injury, is also questionable, as is tackle Anthony Davis, who is fighting off injuries to his ankle and knee. Defensively, corner Tramaine Brock is battling a toe injury that makes him questionable for the game. Safety Eric Reid (hamstring) and nose tackle Ian Williams (ankle) are also listed as questionable.

But the news is not all bad for the 49ers. Running back Frank Gore, punter Andy Lee, wideout Michael Crabtree, and safety Antoine Bethea are all listed as probable. Defensive end Justin Smith is also listed as probable, but it is not injury-related.

Center Marcus Martin is the only 49er listed as doubtful; no players are listed as being "out" for the week.
