Athletics Injury Update: Stephen Vogt should be ready for 2015 after foot surgery

The Oakland Athletics suffered a rash of injuries in the season's final months. Were they to have made the divisional round of the postseason it may have been hard for them fully fill out their roster. With many set to heal this offseason, Susan Slusser is reporting that utility man Stephen Vogt should be ready to go when the season begins.
The 29-year-old Vogt had the best season of his career in 2014. He saw time at catcher, first base, and both corner outfield positions and was able to have success at the plate.  He not only set a career high in games played, but he eclipsed his career high numbers in every offensive category.

He finished the season with a .279 average in 84 games while homering nine times.  His versatility and improving bat should help him to see even more time on the field in 2015 as the A's look to get back on top in the American League West.
