Bears Injury Report: Chris Conte, Lance Briggs, Jermon Bushrod

By on 10/19/2014 10:40:00 AM

The Chicago Bears injury report for this week is not going to make Bears fans happy. The Bears defense has had numerous struggles this season, and it might get worse this week due to some injuries to their starters.

Starting safety Chris Conte is out for the game vs. the Miami Dolphins with a shoulder injury. There is not much depth in the Bears secondary, especially after losing Charles Tillman early in the season, so the Bears will have to look for someone new to possibly step up.

Linebacker Lance Briggs is out for the game, as well, with an injury to his ribs that kept out of practice all week.

Fellow linebacker Jonathan Bostic is questionable with a back injury that held him up in practice, only allowing him have limited participation all week. The Bears are really going to need him up suit up today, because with no Lance Briggs, there will be little depth all over the Bears defense today.

Offensive lineman Jermon Bushrod is probable for the game with a knee and ankle injury. All signs appear to be positive for Bushrod, though, as he was a full participant in practice on Thursday and Friday.

The Bears are at home today when they take on the Miami Dolphins. It could be a shootout if the Bears defense does not show up today. Jay Cutler and the offense will put up points, but the defense could make this a very strenuous game
