Bengals Injury Updates: A.J. Green, Giovani Bernard

By on 10/27/2014 08:23:00 PM

The Cincinnati Bengals pulled off a dramatic win at home against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. The win put them back in first place in the AFC North and they just might have top receiver A.J. Green back for this Sunday's contest.

Green has been nursing an injured big toe since the season opener against the Ravens. He said he felt about 40 percent in the last week, but that he feels closer to 80 percent this week. Green was asked after yesterday's game if he intended to play against the Jacksonville Jaguars this week and he replied that he did.

Running back Giovani Bernard left Sunday's game with a right hip injury and did not return. He had 16 carries on the day for 45 yards and a touchdown. He also left last week's game with a rib injury. Right guard Kevin Zeitler injured his right calf in the fourth quarter and did not return. He previously missed three games after suffering the same injury in the second game of the season.

Linebacker Jayson DiManche and fullback/tight end Ryan Hewitt both suffered shoulder injuries on a special teams play. DiManche did not return to the game, but Hewitt did.
