By on 10/27/2014 01:06:00 PM

The Chicago Blackhawks lost to the St.Louis Blues 3-2 on Saturday evening. The team also lost winger Dan Carcillo to a knee injury. The injury occurred on this hit from TJ Oshie:

Dan Carcillo was able to make it off the ice under his own power, but he did not return to the game. Incidentally, no penalty was called on the play. According to James O’Brien from Pro Hockey Talk, the Blackhawks feel that Carcillo could be out of action for “a week or more”. Tracey Myers from CSN Chicago updates Carcillo’s prognosis by saying that the time out will be approximately four weeks. Dan Carcillo has one goal through seven games this season. Jeremy Morin will replace Carcillo in the lineup for the near future.

The Blackhawks' next game will be on Tuesday at home against the Anaheim Ducks. Chicago's record is currently 5-2-1 after eight games.
