By on 10/28/2014 10:45:00 AM

The injury news just keeps coming for the Columbus Blue Jackets. The team's number one goaltender and Vezina trophy winner Sergei Bobrovsky has been placed on injured reserve after suffering a fractured finger on Monday during practice, as reported on the team's official website. He's expected to be out 1-2 weeks.

The 26-year-old has a 4-4-0 record with a 2.81 GAA and a .908 save percentage in eight games this season.

Curtis McElhinney is the usual backup, and should get the majority of the starts during Bobrosky's absence.

The team has also recalled Anton Forsberg from the AHL Springfield Falcons. Forsberg has a 1-2-0 record with a 2.36 GAA and a .921 save percentage in three games with Springfield this season.

This injury just adds to a growing list. Matt Calvert was also placed on injured reserve earlier.

The Blue Jackets play at home on Tuesday night against the Ottawa Senators, then on Friday and Saturday as well to finish the week.
