The St. Louis Blues have announced that Paul Stastny will be out week-to-week after suffering from an upper-body/ shoulder injury. The exact injury/extent of the injury is not determined. It is expected to be a left shoulder injury after he was on the receiving end of a hit during a game against the Arizona Coyotes.

The Blues played a strong game against the Coyotes, winning 6-1, with Schwartz getting a hat-trick. Stastny only played 30 seconds before leaving the game with an upper-body injury. It was also reported that the player left the arena in a sling.

He was further evaluated and it was released that he would be out week-to-week and there is no guaranteed time table when he will be able to return to the lineup.
After 8 seasons with the Avalanche, the Veteran signed a 4 year 28 million dollar deal with the St Louis Blues over the summer.
