Broncos Injury Updates: Ronnie Hillman, Montee Ball

By on 10/30/2014 04:09:00 PM

The Denver Broncos and New England Patriots meet up this Sunday in a clash of division leaders and elite quarterbacks. The Broncos have a few key injuries to their running backs to keep an eye on this week.

Running back Montee Ball has missed three games with a groin injury and unsurprisingly did not practice on Wednesday. However, more concerning was running back Ronnie Hillman being limited at practice on Wednesday. Hillman brushed off concerns after practice, saying he expects to practice on Thursday and should be ready to play on Sunday.

"I just landed on it (shoulder) funny, it'll be all right," Hillman said

Rookie running back Juwan Thompson has been the Broncos number two back since Ball went out. He suffered a knee injury in Week 5 against the Arizona Cardinals and has missed some practice since. However, he has played in every game since then and leads the team in rushing touchdowns with three.
