Browns Injury Update: Alex Mack breaks leg

By on 10/13/2014 09:15:00 PM

The Cleveland Browns announced Sunday evening that center Alex Mack has suffered a broken fibula.

Mack will need surgery and according to Mary Kay Cabot, he is likely lost for the season.

Mack's injury occurred in the second quarter against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Browns went on to win, 31-10.

Left tackle Joe Thomas said

"It's such a brotherhood, and it got a little emotional out there after he went down. We know how much he means to this team and as one of the leaders of the offense, guys pull a lot of energy from him. He is such a great example. It's so difficult to lose such a tremendous player like that."
Brian Hoyer stated
"You don't just replace that guy."
Expect John Greco to step up in Mack's absence.
