Bruins Injury Update: David Krejci likely to be in the lineup Monday

By on 10/12/2014 05:09:00 PM

It looks as though the Boston Bruins will be getting their leading scorer from a year ago back on Monday. According to The Score, Boston center David Krejci is potentially slated to join the club tomorrow against the Colorado Avalanche.

Krejci's return couldn't have come at a better time. The Bruins have only mustered three goals in their first three games (1-2), including a 4-0 shutout loss at home to the Capitals on Saturday night. Krejci missed the Bruins first three contests with an undisclosed injury, but practiced with the team on Sunday and was seen skating on a line with Milan Lucic and rookie Seth Griffith who was recently recalled from Providence of the AHL.

Krejci led the Bruins offensively last season with 69 points, including 19 goals in 80 games. He was nominated for the Lady Byng and Frank Selke trophies last year which went to the Avalanche's Ryan O'Reilly and Bruins teammate Patrice Bergeron respectively.
