Bruins Injury Update: Kevan Miller leaves game after fight [Video]

By on 10/18/2014 09:00:00 PM

Boston Bruins defenseman Kevan Miller left Saturday night's game against the Buffalo Sabres in the first period and did not return, as reported by Joe Yerdon of NHL.com. Miller left game after a fight with Sabres forward Nicolas Deslauriers. As he's leaving, he's seen favoring his right arm.

Prior to Saturday night, the 26-year-old has played in five games this season. He has yet to record a point. He's been averaging around 16 minutes per game and sees a lot of time on the team's penalty kill. He also leads the team in blocked shots with 10.

Until more information is known about the injury, it's impossible to diagnose. As he's leaving the ice after the fight, we can see him holding his lower right arm, just under the elbow. Miller is a depth defenseman, but plays a significant role on the penalty kill.
